St Mary’s Urgent Treatment Centre receives ‘GOOD’ rating from the CQC
Totally plc is delighted to announce that St Mary’s Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), Paddington has been rated as ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following an inspection in July 2021. The service is provided by Vocare, part of Totally plc’s Urgent Care Division.
Totally plc’s Urgent Care Division provides integrated urgent care services to NHS patients across England, including urgent treatment centres, NHS 111, clinical assessment services and GP out-of-hours. Throughout the last 18 months, the Urgent Care Division has stood shoulder to shoulder with the NHS to deliver frontline care to patients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CQC is an independent regulator which monitors, inspects and rates services to ensure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety. The CQC sets out what standards look like across five key domains and rates them as either inadequate, requires improvement, good or outstanding.
When awarding a rating the five key areas are all equally important and there are a number of ratings combinations that will lead to an overall rating of good. A service does not need to achieve good in every domain for it to receive a good rating overall. St Mary’s UTC achieved good in all domains:
