Totally Healthcare accepted onto NHS Providers’ Framework for Wales as Welsh Government announces increased funding for the region
Totally Healthcare, part of Totally plc, has been accepted onto the provider framework that serves NHS patients across Wales, which means it is now represented across all UK regions. This follows the announcement in August that more than half a billion pounds of new funding for health and social services will be invested in the region. The additional funding will help address the ongoing costs of dealing with the pandemic, with £140m specifically targeting health board recovery such as speeding up the treatment of those who have been waiting the longest and tackling waiting times which are reported to have increased by 33%.
Totally Healthcare provides bespoke insourcing solutions to cut patient waiting times across the UK and Ireland, including diagnostics, day-case surgery and outpatient activity in specialties such as endoscopy, ophthalmology, ear nose and throat (ENT), orthopaedics, urology and plastics. Totally Healthcare can mobilise its unique insourcing model anywhere across the UK quickly to bring high-quality care to patients that need it.
Marie Lee, Managing Director of Totally Healthcare says, “I’m delighted that we have been added to this important framework as it will enable us to expand our footprint across the UK, and further support hospitals in the reduction of growing patient backlogs caused by the postponement of services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re extremely proud of the high standard of patient care we provide and look forward to continuing in our mission to reach more patients and deliver high-quality patient care with our cost-effective insourcing model”.
